Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and produces its results. We do not retain or log those terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We keep a message sent by email long enough to respond and manage the communication. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive limited technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view times and the pages visited
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- Approximate visit duration for each page
- Referring site, when one is supplied
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help aggregate traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing faults and maintaining reliable performance
- Routing a search to the selected partner service
- Understanding which information visitors use
- Operating and improving page speed and availability
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its material identifies how to reach the Jack County sheriff, the county and district clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas Government Code §411.135 governs DPS public dissemination of conviction and deferred-adjudication information; it does not turn this private reference into an official repository. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. A query entered there is governed by that provider's privacy policy, including its retention and sharing rules. We do not set those practices. Read the provider's policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links to sheriff offices, court portals, Texas agencies, legal aid resources, and commercial tools lead away from this website. The destination's privacy terms apply after that point. Review them before providing personal details.
An advertising provider may use its own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be received by:
- Advertising networks serving placements
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable standard safeguards protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, so a breach cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If a minor's information is identified, we will delete it after notice.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence and applicable law. Texas consumer-protection duties include the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17. Public Jack County agency records are governed separately by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, while Texas Government Code §411.135 addresses DPS release of public conviction and deferred-adjudication data. You can:
- Request deletion where applicable
- Ask for correction of inaccurate information
- Obtain a copy of personal data held about you
- Decline certain processing where the law provides that choice
